Hollywood Studios Photo Report

Picking up where I left off of the Toy Story Land review, we headed out of TSL and over to Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway for our 1pm lightning lane return time.

The Lightning Lane gave us pretty quick access to the preshow theater, maybe 5 minutes and we were in watching the movie. This was our first time watching the preshow as our last trip in January they were skipping it.

Unfortunately while watching, the Cast Member in the preshow room received a call that the ride was down. After 20 minutes, they finally started getting us recovery passes assigned as we had already used the LL pass. This would work out for my wife though since she wouldn’t have arrived in time to use her pass, hers automatically converted to an anytime pass.

Another thing I wanted to do on this trip was see more shows at Hollywood Studios, as the first time we went, we only saw the Frozen show and last time that was the only show available, so we didn’t do it. I got my daughter and I a Lightning Lane pass for Beauty and the Beast for 2pm.

My wife caught up with us after the show. We met at the intersection of Hollywood and Sunset. The Pixar Cavalcade was about to begin so we hung out there to watch. I had my phone out and pretended to record the whole thing. When it was over, I went to stop the recording and realized it was on camera and not video. Rookie mistake, lol. So, here we are in front of our favorite sign, Route 66!

After that, we headed to Frozen for our next Lightning Lane pass. I didn’t do a showtimes spreadsheet this trip, so realized too late that we wouldn’t be able to do Indiana Jones or Disney Junior due to our dinner reservation time, so fail on my part. Frozen has more shows and we could have seen it later in the night.

I love the Christmas time shows as Olaf gets to sing to his very special songs!

After the show, we located a few more of the 50th anniversary celebration statues Edna, Frozone, R2D2 and BB8 we’re the ones we found this time around.

I’ll close this post and come back with one more that includes our dinner reservation. I’ve added 360° pictures from our afternoon here. Stay tuned for more.

If you’re ready to start exploring a Walt Disney World or Disneyland family vacation, I recommend checking out Undercover Tourist for your ticket options. I’ve already used them twice, once at Disneyland and once at Disney World and will plan to continue comparing their prices with other sites, however I usually come back to UT because they have the best deals and their instructions make it easy to add your tickets to the Disney apps.
