At Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom theme park in Orlando, Florida, one of the most unique and underrated rides in the park is the Liberty Belle riverboat, which floats along the Rivers of America in the Frontierland portion of the part.
On our recent trip, we had the opportunity to ride the Liberty Belle on the top deck. Check out our 360° photos below followed by the 360° YouTube video!

To get to the riverboat, head towards the Liberty Square spoke off the Magic Kingdom hub and then head straight towards the dock. If the boat isn’t currently docked, you can find a spot to sit down while you wait.
Once the boat arrives, it will take a few minutes to unload the passengers of the previous journey before you’re able to board the ride. As soon as you’re on this ship, head for the stairs and figure out which level you want to be on and locate a spot to ride.
Prior to launch, the Liberty Belle steam stack will blow off several rounds of steam before the bell rings out and the boat begins its voyage down the river.
As you get started, check out the stone wall built along the left side of the river holding Liberty Square up while to the left side is Harper’s Mill on Tom Sawyer Island.
The ship then curves around Tom Sawyer Island allowing a beautiful view of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
As you float past the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, be sure to watch for a mine car speeding through the wild West twist and turns.
Moving past the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you make your way into the wilderness as wildlife pop up along the river making their way to the riverbank for a drink or perhaps to escape a predator.
Along the back stretch, we’re greeted by a family of Native Americans, who have built their home along the riverside. The Teepee’s stand tall as a place of refuge while the livestock help the inhabitants work the land.
Moving along the back stretch, we come across Fort Longhorn, barely visible through the trees, it’s the perfect protection for the tiny island.
Finally, just before the final turn, as you make your way back into Liberty Square, a Haunted Mansion greets you on the left while the towering Cinderella castle spires reach out over the horizon, reminding you you’re not actually on a river, but on a beautifully themed ride in one of the nations greatest theme parks.

If you’re ready to start exploring a Walt Disney World or Disneyland family vacation, I recommend checking out Undercover Tourist for your ticket options. I’ve already used them twice, once at Disneyland and once at Disney World and will plan to continue comparing their prices with other sites, however I usually come back to UT because they have the best deals and their instructions make it easy to add your tickets to the Disney apps.
