According to the post by Emily Lê, Disney World now has several fitness and wellness activities available at the resort hotels for all age groups including group fitness, pickle ball, walking trails and more! See below for all of the details!
Our theme parks have plenty to keep you active but did you know our Disney Resort hotels offer a variety of distinctly Disney wellness offerings? From enjoying fitness fun with Simba and his friends to practicing your own touchdown celebration dance, your whole family can stay well together!
Disney Family Wellness is a collection of new and existing resort experiences for your overall health and well-being, along with resort amenities like our fitness centers, walking trails and pools. While we will continue to add even more options, here is a look at some of the offerings you can experience right now!
1. Family Fitness Fun
Do you love to dance? Do you love the music of Disney’s “The Lion King”? Well, do we have the perfect activity for you! Head over to the Lion King area of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort on select days to enjoy an exhilarating family fitness class to get your body moving and ready for the day. These classes welcome guests of all ages to enjoy 25 minutes of movement and dance set to a lively soundtrack inspired by Simba and his friends.
We’re excited to announce that pickleball is available at several of our recreational tennis courts including Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, and Disney’s Old Key West Resort. If you forgot your paddle at home, no worries! Each location will offer complimentary equipment for players. Haven’t heard of pickleball? Well … trust us when we say, it’s a pretty big dill!
3. Wellness Scavenger Hunts
At Disney’s All-Star Resorts family and friends can find hidden wellness challenges and partake in a scavenger hunt within the movies, sports, and music! Pick up a map from the front desk or a merchandise location to start exploring the resorts with family and friends to solve clues and complete fitness challenges in our wellness scavenger hunt! Challenges include taking a victory lap around life-size props of your favorite movies or finding hidden characters on the football field. Upon completion, don’t forget to pick up a button at any merchandise location to commemorate your accomplishment.
4. Disney On Demand: Disney Family Wellness
As you head back to your room to keep your mind and body recharged, we’ve got your wellness needs covered on in-room televisions at select resorts. Stretch with your pal Mickey Mouse after a fun-filled day at the parks and explore other short videos about sleep and healthy eating. Or take a few moments with Ashley Eckstein and Star Wars Mindful Matters for a mindfulness lesson inspired by Star Wars.
5. Family Fun Walk/Runs
Once you’re recharged, tie up those laces and enjoy a family fun walk/run! Found at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and along Disney’s BoardWalk, the entire family can participate at their own pace while enjoying the sights and sounds of Crescent Lake. Maybe you’ll even find inspiration to sign up for the next exciting runDisney race!
While you’re enjoying all of these offerings, don’t forget to hydrate! We are currently rolling out even more water bottle refilling stations across our Disney Resort hotels, including in pool and lobby areas.
As you can see, there are many Disney Family Wellness experiences across our Disney Resort hotels to engage your overall wellness needs with a uniquely Disney twist – and there’s more to come! Whether it’s pickleball, moving and grooving, or enjoying one of our running trails, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Stay tuned and look for Disney Family Wellness offerings at your resort during your next visit.

If you’re ready to start exploring a Walt Disney World or Disneyland family vacation, I recommend checking out Undercover Tourist for your ticket options. I’ve already used them twice, once at Disneyland and once at Disney World and will plan to continue comparing their prices with other sites, however I usually come back to UT because they have the best deals and their instructions make it easy to add your tickets to the Disney apps.
