According to the post by Emily Captino, the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, which began last week, has several fun Magic shots including butterflies, unique flower pictures, and my favorite, a Tiny Planet shot in front of Epcot’s Spaceship Earth. See below for more information.
During my Disney College Program in 2019, I clearly remember going to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. The weather outside was perfect, so I decided to mosey on over to EPCOT. Little did I know that it was the first day of the festival! The outside world disappeared as I entered the lush floral retreat. I occupied my time strolling along topiaries, taking pictures, and trying sweet treats.
Four years later, and I’m ready for yet another fantastic year of the festival. I’m most excited for the Magic Shots that will be available from Disney PhotoPass Service (and the Outdoor Kitchens, of course). Seriously, I can’t get clover these amazing shots…Get it? Clover sounds like over? I love puns. Okay, now on to the actual reason you’re reading this blog post – Magic Shots!
One of my favorite memories of the festival was walking into the butterfly house. Like Heimlich said in Disney and Pixar’s film, “A Bug’s Life,” “Someday, I will be a beautiful butterfly and then everything will be better.” And well, everything does seem better when you’re posing for this Magic Shot underneath a flurry of butterflies. Trust me – I would know, that’s me in the photo! Fly down to the entrance to World Showcase under the Monorail beam to capture this festival favorite!
When I was growing up, the Tinker Bell movies were all the rage. Everyone (including me) wanted to visit Pixie Hollow and hang with Tink and her fairy friends. Now, with this Magic Shot and a little pixie dust, you might find your way to Pixie Hollow! Just think of the happiest things and fly over to most PhotoPass photographers to uncover this flitterific Magic Shot.
Speaking of flying…when in Magic Kingdom Park, Orange Bird hangs out at Sunshine Tree Terrace and serves up some Dole Whips. But for the festival this year, he’s flying into the frame! Visit most Disney PhotoPass photographers stationed in World Celebration locations to capture this Magic Shot. And then maybe go and get a Dole Whip, because…why not?!
After your Dole Whip, go find this fantastic floral photo at the water near Journey Into Imagination With Figment. You know how Isabela grows a flower and the town goes wild? Well, I think it holds true, because we’re going wild over this Magic Shot. Colors of purple and pink peonies will fill your head long after your visit.
Those visions of flowers are filling Spike the Bee’s thoughts too, so watch out Donald Duck! Spike the Bee is the star of the show in this Magic Shot. When he’s not busy pollinating or tormenting Donald Duck, he’ll make sure to pop into your photo anywhere in the World Showcase.
After a day of gazing at flowers, you might as well pose for a photo with them! Poppy in this floral frame stationed in the Italy pavilion, near the entrance to World Showcase under the Monorail beam, and by the water near Journey Into Imagination With Figment. Here, you’ll be surrounded with flowers that will last a lifetime. You know, something to look at next winter when you have visions of daffodils dancing in your head.
It is only fitting to wrap up this blog post with my favorite shot of all: the Tiny World Magic Shot. Located near the fountain just beyond the main entrance of the park, you can capture your entire family from the most magical angle. You get a fun festival border too!
I think Disney PhotoPass Service really rose to the occasion for the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this year. I still have my Magic Shots from 2019 and they bring me so much joy! You can use the locations I noted as a guide for finding these Magic Shots, but I also recommend asking your fabulous photographer what Magic Shots are available at their location. I truly hope you enjoy your time photosynthesizing with Disney PhotoPass Service!

If you’re ready to start exploring a Walt Disney World or Disneyland family vacation, I recommend checking out Undercover Tourist for your ticket options. I’ve already used them twice, once at Disneyland and once at Disney World and will plan to continue comparing their prices with other sites, however I usually come back to UT because they have the best deals and their instructions make it easy to add your tickets to the Disney apps.
