Can you believe we are “almost there” and closer than ever to opening Tiana’s Bayou Adventure this summer here in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort? With Mardi Gras season underway and construction milestones flying by, our cast members and I are so excited to see the magic of Tiana come to life like never before! Here are five things I can’t wait to experience when the ride opens:

New Tiana Audio-Animatronic figure

1. Dozens of New Audio-Animatronics Figures

You already know that no one does Audio-Animatronicsfigures like Disney does, and here’s a first look!

I’m especially looking forward to seeing Tiana in her adventure outfit but there will be a bunch of familiar faces and new friends that will fill up the bayou with their unique personalities.

2. Bands in the Bayou

Speaking of new friends: the bayou will be getting a whole swampful of new neighbors with friendly crittersjoining the adventure with Tiana. Not only are they musically talented, but they’re also resourceful – they built their own instruments from natural materials they found in the bayou.

3. Music from The Big Easy

There’s a lot to enjoy about New Orleans, and one of my favorite things is hearing all the jazz, zydeco music and more. We’ve already talked about how we are collaborating with industry legends PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard on new original music for the ride, alongside some of the tunes from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “The Princess and the Frog.”

4. The Return of *the* Drop

Is there anything better in the summer than a stomach-swooping drop that ends with a cool wave of water? (Well, maybe one of Tiana’s beignets!) I can’t wait to ride a log down that 50-foot drop again as part of an all-new story to love.

5. More Tiana

This ride will be all about Tiana after she made her own dreams come true and how we all have the potential to make our dreams a reality. In Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, she’s throwing a festive party during Mardi Gras season to thank her family, friends and the entire community for all the support they’ve given her as a successful business owner; it’s incredibly special that we get to celebrate with her.

We can’t wait for you to “come join the party” when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida this summer, and later in 2024 at Disneyland Park in California. For now, I leave you with a new phrase I’ve learned as I get into the Mardi Gras spirit: laissez les bons temps rouler – let the good times roll and happy Mardi Gras!

If you’re ready to start exploring a Walt Disney World or Disneyland family vacation, I recommend checking out Undercover Tourist for your ticket options. I’ve already used them twice, once at Disneyland and once at Disney World and will plan to continue comparing their prices with other sites, however I usually come back to UT because they have the best deals and their instructions make it easy to add your tickets to the Disney apps.
